Hessian State Parliament and Hessian State Government

On January 13, 1953, the members of the Hessian State Parliament and the Hessian State Government signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.

At a festive reception in the town hall, the members of the Hessian state government and the presidium of the Hessian state parliament signed the city's Golden Book.

In addition to State Parliament President Witte and Prime Minister Georg August Zinn, they included Finance Minister Troeger, Interior Minister Zinnkann, Culture Minister Metzger, Economics Minister Fischer and Agriculture Minister Bodenbender. Representatives of the federal institutions based in Wiesbaden were also present at the festive reception.

Mayor Kluge was delighted to welcome the prominent figures from state and local politics together with representatives of the federal government. He jokingly suggested to his counterpart from Mainz, Stein, who had also come to Wiesbaden, that the two state capitals should be united under the name "Bad Mainz". Following the speeches, the magistrate invited his guests to a joint dinner in the Kurhaus.
