Executive Committee of the International Shooting Union
On July 13, 1966, the Executive Committee of the International Shooting Union signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
In July 1966, the World Shooting Championships took place in Wiesbaden. Shooters from all over the world came to the Hessian state capital to determine their champions in various disciplines.
On the occasion of the visit of this international association, the city council decided to ask the members of the Executive Committee of the International Shooting Union to make an entry in the Golden Book.
The guests gladly accepted this invitation to the town hall and so Mayor Herbel was able to welcome representatives of the participating nations to the town hall ballroom on the very first day of the championships, July 13, 1966.
The President of the Shooting Union, Kurt Hasler from Switzerland, thanked them for the warm welcome and presented them with a watercolor of the Kurhaus as a memento. He then signed the city's Golden Book together with his presidium.
