Max Planck Society
On June 11, 1954, the Executive Board of the Max Planck Society signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
On the occasion of the General Meeting of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science from June 9 to 12, 1954, its Board of Directors signed the city's Golden Book.
In a letter from the Göttingen General Administration of the Max Planck Society dated 10 June 1954 to the state capital of Wiesbaden, the organizers were informed of the names of the scientists who were to be entered in the book by the Society. These included the discoverer of nuclear fission,
Prof. Dr. Otto Hahn, these included the physicist Prof. Dr. Werner Heisenberg from Göttingen and the biologist Prof. Dr. Max Hartmann from Tübingen.
