Nachman Prize winner 2018

On June 8, 2018, the three winners of the Carol Nachman Prize and the winner of the Carol Nachman Medal signed the Golden Book of the Hessian state capital after receiving their certificates.

This year, the Carol Nachman Prize was awarded to the Canadian researcher Professor Dafna D. Gladman from Toronto, Canada, and the Dutch researchers Professor Tom W. J. Huizinga and Professor R.E.M. Toes from Leiden, the Netherlands. The prize is endowed with 37,500 euros, one of the highest medical awards in Germany and serves to promote clinical, therapeutic and experimental research work in the field of rheumatology. The Board of Trustees, which includes recognized physicians from the field of rheumatology as well as representatives of the city of Wiesbaden, also decided to award the Norwegian Professor Tore Kristian Kvien from Oslo / Norway with the Carol Nachman Medal, endowed with 2,500 euros, for his life's work. The award winners signed the Golden Book of the Hessian state capital.
