Party Executive Committee of the SPD

On April 13, 1957, the SPD party executive around Erich Ollenhauer signed the city of Wiesbaden's Golden Book.

The integration of displaced persons and the commitment to Europe were the focus of the SPD congress for displaced persons, refugees and victims of war.

The chairman of the federal party, Erich Ollenhauer, and the chairman of the All-German Committee of the Bundestag, Herbert Wehner, emphasized the importance of this group of people for democracy and economic reconstruction at the conference in the Kurhaus.

After the delegates were welcomed by the city council and the state government, the party leadership around Ollenhauer and Wehner accepted the mayor's invitation to the town hall and signed the city's Golden Book.
