Association of German Physical Societies
On September 23, 1955, the Executive Board of the Association of German Physical Societies signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
At lunchtime on September 23, 1955, Lord Mayor Erich Mix welcomed 25 representatives of the German Physical Societies in the ballroom of the town hall.
The University of Mainz had organized the annual meeting of natural scientists in Wiesbaden. In his speech, the Lord Mayor emphasized the importance of the entire Rhine-Main region as a production and research location.
The chairman of the association, Karl Wolf, expressed his thanks for the friendly welcome in the city and praised Wiesbaden as a centrally located and well-organized congress city. He said that the close cooperation between Wiesbaden, Mainz and Frankfurt had created a forward-looking economic region.
In addition to the Chairman, Directors Ewald, von Laue and Heisenberg then signed the city's Golden Book.
