Rebecca Horn
On March 17, 2007, Rebecca Horn signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
Rebecca Horn is internationally recognized as one of the most prominent German artists. She is a sculptor, performance artist and filmmaker.
Her work includes installations, performances, sculptural spatial installations, kinetic objects, poetic texts, film and drawing.
On March 17, 2007, the Hessian state capital awarded her the Alexej-von-Jawlensky Prize in Wiesbaden City Hall. From March 18 to September 2, 2007, the Museum Wiesbaden presented an exhibition of the artist's work entitled "Jupiter in the Octagon". The rooms of the Museum Wiesbaden were explicitly designed for this first solo exhibition by the artist in Hesse.
The day before the opening, Horn was received by Lord Mayor Diehl in the town hall. In his speech, he confessed to being a great friend of Horn's works. The artist was flattered and, after a short speech of thanks, signed the city's Golden Book.
