Sangselskapet A'Cappella Oslo

On May 21, 1963, the singers of the Sangselskapet A'Cappella Oslo signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.

As part of the German-Norwegian cultural exchange, the Sangselskapet A'Capella choir from Oslo paid a visit to the Hessian capital on May 21, 1963 during their tour of Germany.

After a tour of the city, a visit to the Neroberg and a drive through the Rheingau, Lord Mayor Buch received the thirty singers in the ballroom of the town hall and praised the choir's musical achievements. He also spoke about the importance of music in bringing people together and explained that singing strengthens the friendship between Germany and Norway, which has had its dark sides in the past.

The singers thanked him for his kind words and then joined their hosts, the President of the German Singers' Association, Willi Engels, and the Chairman of the Groß-Wiesbaden Singing Circle, Kurt Krüger, in signing the city's Golden Book.
