On May 6, 1954, Lord Mayor Mix, led by representatives of the municipal council and the city council, welcomed a six-person delegation from Wiesbaden's twin city in the ballroom of the town hall.

The President of the Swiss Commission, Vogelsang, accepted a bowl with a picture of the Kurhaus as a memento of the visit.

In his speech of thanks, he praised the cooperation between the two cities in the political, social and cultural fields and wished for further intensification of the exchange in the future. He and his companions then signed the city's Golden Book.
