Neroberg: 500 years of winegrowing history
The Neroberg has been officially used as a vineyard since November 25, 1525. The 500th anniversary will be celebrated in 2025 with a varied program, special wines and atmospheric events.
Today, the vineyard is owned by the city of Wiesbaden and has been managed exclusively by Weingut Kloster Eberbach since 2005. What began with a decree by Count Philipp von Nassau-Idstein has developed over the centuries into a central part of Wiesbaden's cultural and culinary history.
The monopollage produces high-quality wines full of character. They are an expression of centuries-old tradition and modern wine art. The oldest wine from this site - a Riesling from 1893 - is stored in the treasury of the Eberbach monastery.
Anniversary wine
2025 will be a very special vintage: the anniversary wine will have an exclusive special label. It will be available at the Tourist Information Center in 2026, among other places.
Wine bar tasting "500 years of Neroberg"
Four wines from the Neroberg monopollage will be presented and tasted in the vinotheque of the Eberbach monastery. An expert moderator will guide you through the tasting, accompanied by pretzels and water.

A glass of wine, a magnificent view over Wiesbaden and a place with history. This guided tour offers the opportunity to discover the Neroberg followed by a glass of wine at Château Nero. By the way: Château Nero celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2025.

To mark the double anniversary - 500 years of Neroberg & 5 years of Château Nero - the popular excursion destination invites you to special event evenings: Music via wireless headphones, atmospheric lighting and the special location above the vineyard make for unforgettable moments.

Vine sponsorships - a sign of solidarity
To mark its anniversary, the Kloster Eberbach winery is exclusively offering 50 limited vine sponsorships on the Neroberg. The sponsorship runs for five years and costs 195 euros. It includes a personal certificate, a nameplate on the vine, one bottle of Neroberg wine per year and the opportunity to visit your own vine during the opening hours of Château Nero. The first sponsorship will be symbolically presented to Wiesbaden's Lord Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende.
