Children's culture festival on the Lehrplatz
As part of the World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 project "Auf die Plätze los", a children's culture festival will be held on Friday, June 5, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Lehrplatz under the motto "Colorful Effects".
In addition to a theater performance by the school social work program, children can look forward to a colorful program featuring creative activities organized in collaboration with local artists. Also on display will be posters from a school social work workshop in collaboration with the Smart City Department, in which children used an AI tool to redesign locations and spaces in their neighborhood according to their wishes. The goal of the festival is to revitalize the Lehrplatz as an open meeting place for children, families, and the neighborhood, and to jointly develop new perspectives on public space.
The festival combines art, culture, participation, and community interaction. Through creative hands-on activities and artistic contributions, children will transform the Lehrplatz into a place of imagination, diversity, and community. The focus is on the ideas and perspectives of young people.
The Children’s Culture Festival is organized by the School Social Work Department for Children at the Anton Gruner School, along with other partners. The event is free of charge.
