"Celebrate Life" is the motto of Henkell Freixenet, the world's largest sparkling wine producer, and anyone who has been a guest at Henkell Castle in Wiesbaden for Sparkling Wine Day knows that it is meant seriously! The Wiesbaden sparkling wine cellar will open its doors again this year for the traditional Sparkling Wine Day on May 9 from 11 am to 7 pm. In addition to the exciting insight into sparkling wine production, Henkell Freixenet also offers a varied supporting program. Admission is free.
Live insight into the sparkling wine factory and winery tour
Become a sparkling wine specialist and take a look behind the scenes at Henkell Freixenet and experience first-hand how sparkling wine is made during the "Pearls of Europe" tasting in the sparkling wine factory! Take a look over the shoulder of the production team and, until 5 p.m., you can climb seven storeys down and marvel at the cellar vaults in which gigantic barrels are stored during exciting guided tours of the cellar, which start in the historic Henkell Marble Hall. In addition to a sparkling selection of sparkling wine, various street food trucks with all kinds of savory and sweet delicacies await you in the special atmosphere of the Ehrenhof.
