Summer market on Mauritiusplatz
Summer, sun, good mood - this is the motto of the summer market on Mauritiusplatz until August 31, inviting you to linger and enjoy.
In cooperation with cultural workers in the city and the partner cities of the state capital Wiesbaden, a colorful and varied program is created for everyone - with culture, entertainment, exhibitions, craftsmanship, dance, film & theater, local & regional, the colorful mixed program is presented.
Motto weeks "Journey through Europe"
The summer market offers a changing culinary and musical program based around the countries of Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy and France, in keeping with the five "Journey through Europe" theme weeks. Guests can also look forward to strawberry punch and wine and beer specialties - as well as non-alcoholic drinks, of course.

Sustainability and arrival by public transport and bicycle
The summer market features a sustainable wooden structure that will be rebuilt again in 2026. In addition, the deposit system and the exclusive use of reusable tableware reflect a commitment to sustainability. Speaking of sustainability: Traveling to downtown and the summer market is convenient via public transit or by bike, which can be parked for free in the secure bike garage at the Dern’schen Gelände—on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.—and in the designated garages during the Theatrium and the Rheingau Wine Week.
