In principle

• The warning level is always valid for one week and is announced by the Parks Department on Wednesdays.
• Smoking is prohibited in the forest all year round!

Green spaces

• Barbecues are prohibited on barbecue areas that are designated as such(barbecue areas and barbecue huts can be booked or rented | Landeshauptstadt Wiesbaden (opens in a new tab)) and are located at a distance of 100m from the edge of the forest. The barbecue ban applies to charcoal, gas and electric barbecues. Checks are carried out by the forestry authority and the city police.
• If the fire department is called out despite a violation, the costs will be borne by the person responsible.

Public events

• Whether public events may take place outdoors must be decided on a case-by-case basis by the regulatory authority.
• In addition to the prescribed 6-liter grease fire extinguisher (alternatively 6 kilograms of ABC powder), every cooking, frying or barbecue stand must have a water fire extinguisher with a 9-liter extinguishing agent or alternatively a filled 10-liter water bucket.
• Filled water buckets (10 liters) must be positioned at all other stands (sales stands, etc.).
