The Wiesbaden municipal forest was awarded the title "Forest Area of the Year 2025". This award honors the past and present work of the foresters of the state capital Wiesbaden.

The Wiesbaden municipal forest was selected by the Association of German Foresters (BDF) as "Forest Area of the Year 2025". This award recognizes the outstanding importance of the city forest in terms of sustainable forestry, nature conservation and recreation.
With an area of around 4,300 hectares, the city forest significantly shapes the landscape of the Hessian state capital and provides a valuable habitat for numerous animal and plant species. The sustainable management of the forest ensures that nature conservation and timber use are in harmony. In addition to its ecological function, it is a popular local recreation area for citizens.
