Originally intended as a service for the media, the annual calendar has now enjoyed great popularity for many years.

In addition to dates of festivals, notches, fairs and markets, it also lists concerts, musical events, exhibitions, readings and pheasantry events. The calendar also includes important and noteworthy events that will be celebrated in 2026, such as the inauguration of the girls' secondary school and the opening of the first electric streetcar line, both 125 years ago, the inauguration of the Neroberg Temple 175 years ago, the inauguration of the Kleinfeldchen swimming pool 75 years ago and the founding of the Biebrich Volunteer Fire Brigade 175 years ago and the Bierstadt Volunteer Fire Brigade 125 years ago. These are just a few of the many events listed in the annual calendar.

The 64-page calendar also lists important contacts of institutions and facilities that organize special events and report them to the press office for the annual overview.
