Single parent in Wiesbaden

Alone with a child, separated, divorced, widowed? There are many questions!

Being a single parent is no longer an exception - in Wiesbaden, it affects one in four households with children, around 90 percent of which are mothers. This life situation brings with it many questions and challenges, be it about parental care, career prospects, financial security or housing.

The Municipal Women's Department, together with the Office for Social Work and the Catholic Women's Social Service (SkF), offers comprehensive information, tips and advice and support services. In the "Single parents in Wiesbaden" section, you will find helpful contact points, further links and concrete offers of help on nine topic pages - especially for single parents, but also for families in general.

Important note: There will be changes on January 1, 2026, which will be announced here soon.
