Exhibition: For a life free from violence

From November 18 to 28, the exhibition "For a life free of violence" will be on display in the town hall, featuring artistic works by students at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences that critically examine violence against women, children and queer people in the context of pornography and prostitution.

Invitation card

On display are posters, sculptures, concepts and performative experiential spaces that make visible what remains hidden.

The works were created as part of a four-semester research project on the Istanbul Convention, an international agreement of the Council of Europe for the protection of women and girls from violence. The research project took place in cooperation with the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, Communication Design course and the Municipal Women's Department of the state capital Wiesbaden.

Exhibition opening on November 18 at 4 p.m.

The exhibition will be opened by Lord Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende on Tuesday, November 18, at 4 p.m. in the town hall foyer. Afterwards, Mayor Christiane Hinninger and Prof. Dr. Eva Waller, President of RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, will give welcoming speeches.

On site, the students will take visitors on a personal journey of discovery through their works - an impressive experience that is deeply moving and inspiring.
