Kurhaus shines in orange

On Monday, November 25, 2025, the Wiesbaden Kurhaus will be illuminated in orange at dusk to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Zonta Says NO campaign in Wiesbaden

Since its inception, the globally active women's organization Zonta International, which is also represented with general consultative status at the ECOSOC of the United Nations and with participatory status at the Council of Europe, has campaigned for the rights of women and girls and against violence against women.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is an annual day of remembrance and action to combat all forms of discrimination and violence against women and girls and always takes place on November 25. The color orange symbolizes a future without violence against women. It was chosen as part of the Orange the World campaign initiated by the United Nations.
