Inclusion and accessibility working group

Wiesbaden for all: The working group is an association of more than 35 organizations and self-help groups of and for people with a wide variety of impairments who meet regularly.

With the expertise of those affected and their support system, the working group aims to further promote independent and autonomous participation in the life of the city of Wiesbaden in all areas of life, from public space, culture, school and work, sport and the media, in accordance with the UN Convention.

The working group has set itself the following tasks:

  • Raising public awareness of the needs of people with disabilities
  • Contact person for those affected by problems with participation
  • Pointing out to those responsible that accessibility has not yet been implemented in a wide variety of areas
  • Contributing to the search for solutions
  • The working group is an important point of contact both for the citizens of the city and for politicians.

The working group cooperates with the city's inclusion officer, but is an independent and autonomous body. Participation in the working group is on a voluntary basis.
