With the project "Touched by Art – Art Touches Everyone," the state capital of Wiesbaden is sending a clear message about inclusion in cultural and social spaces. The project brings together artists with and without disabilities and creates encounters on equal terms. The project's patrons are Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende and Cindy Link.

I cordially invite you to be inspired by the project idea. Wiesbaden has already taken many steps towards becoming an inclusive city. Let's continue talking about how we can enable participation and overcome barriers through art and culture.

Lord Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende

The idea for Touched by Art was initiated by the municipal inclusion officer of the state capital of Wiesbaden and further developed in collaboration with numerous partners from the cultural sector, social service organizations, the business community, and civil society. For one month, artists with and without disabilities work together in pairs. Different perspectives, forms of expression, and life experiences are equally integrated into the creative process. This creates art that connects people and opens up new dialogues. The project is being documented on film. The artworks will be auctioned off to the highest bidder on June 25, 2026, at the Reinhard Ernst Museum. The proceeds will go toward the long-term support and further development of Touched by Art in Wiesbaden.
