International internships during training offer many advantages! They not only enable practical work experience in another country, but also promote intercultural skills and language skills.

The internships abroad made possible by the City of Wiesbaden are intensively prepared, accompanied and followed up from the outset. Depending on requirements, an internship in the desired country is sought together with the trainees. The internship plan is coordinated with the company, the vocational school and, if applicable, the responsible chamber before the start of the internship in accordance with the training occupation.

The duration of the internship is flexible, ranging from two to eight weeks. A preparation period of three to six months should be planned. All trainees who receive a leave of absence from their company or vocational school can apply.

Funding is provided in the form of a country-independent grant for travel expenses, accommodation and meals.
