The sixth Wiesbaden Family Day will take place on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Neighborhood Center at Rathausstraße 10. This year’s theme is “Children with ADHD: Understanding, Supporting, and Encouraging.”

Children with ADHD are very special children and often present parents with major challenges in everyday life. They rarely act out of reason, perceive many things as unfair, seem not to listen, and often react impulsively. At the same time, they possess special strengths and talents. How can your child with ADHD also develop these abilities, experience success, and build healthy self-confidence?

The first step is to truly understand the nature of ADHD, as many behaviors are not intentional but rather an expression of how information is processed differently. Building on this, parents can then apply proven strategies in daily life and provide their child with a sense of security through structure, understanding, and encouragement.

Following Dr. Elisabeth Aust-Claus’s presentation, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other parents and experts during workshops on various topics. The Wiesbaden Family Education Centers and the Department of Parent Education and Early Intervention look forward to seeing you at Family Day.
