KiTa profile
What parents can expect from this daycare center:
Kita Bergkirche, a district daycare center, a place for children. Based on the Gospel, we accompany children on their journey for a while. We help them to discover, try out and develop their abilities and skills and to have fun and make friends. Language and movement are particular focal points of our work. We work according to the Hessian education plan, in partially open groups. In addition to cognitive and targeted individual support, there is room for play, fun, trying things out and simply doing it yourself. Depending on their age and stage of development, the children use the rooms throughout the building, the workshop, the exercise room, the courtyard and the outdoor area in small groups, under supervision or on their own. We live in a community with different origins and religions. We are shaped by our social environment, origin and religion. We work in a network with facilities in the district, the elementary school and the sports club. While the building in Steingasse offers space for 3 kindergarten groups and a crèche group, the daycare center in Kapellenstraße offers space for a homogeneous and manageable group for 20 registered children. The building in Steingasse is located in the middle of the city center, but close enough to the forest to be able to reach it quickly on the weekly forest day. Kapellenstraße is close to the beginning of the city forest, but the walk to the city center, to the Steingasse daycare center, is part of the regular routine for this group. Disabled children are accepted in all groups at the daycare center. We use the diversity of our social environment and the differences as an opportunity to learn from and with each other.
