What parents can expect from this daycare center:

The Ringkirche daycare center is located on the edge of the West End with good connections to the city center and the outskirts. Our rooms are integrated into a complex of houses built in 1930. At that time, the kindergarten and the Stephanuskirche next to it were designed as a community center for the Ringkirche. Today, over seventy children in three groups are cared for in this facility, with two teachers working in each group during core hours. As the residential area surrounding us is characterized by different cultures, children and parents from many different nations come together here. We see it as an opportunity for children and adults to practice dealing with "foreigners", to break down prejudices and to gain cross-cultural experience. Against this background, our work focuses on "talking to each other - understanding each other". Parents are welcome to bring in their skills and talents for the children, be they craft, artistic or otherwise.... The teachers at the Ringkirche daycare center see it as their task to teach the children Christian content (biblical stories) and traditions. We focus on the festivals of the church year - Advent, Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, Thanksgiving - and, together with the children, embark on an exciting search for traces of God and his love for people. At the same time, it is important to us to welcome families who come from other faith traditions, whether from Islam, Orthodoxy or others, and to show all children the diversity of life. A colorful togetherness - that's what our daycare center is all about!
