KiTa profile
What parents can expect in this daycare center:
A healthy diet is an essential quality feature in municipal daycare centers. Your child will receive three balanced and varied meals a day. Our holistic nutritional concept meets the quality standard of the German Nutrition Society. We have been awarded the FIT KID certification. The St. Veiter Platz daycare center is based on the freinetplus and Emmi Pikler concepts. The basic understanding of learning, education and upbringing is reflected in attentive and relational care. The child is recognized as an expert in his or her own learning and play. The daycare center implements tried-and-tested projects that are constantly reflected upon and further developed. The learning stimuli for the children in everyday life are geared towards them freely choosing their ideas and materials in spontaneous activities and working with them independently and autonomously. Nursery children are given special attention and care and gradually become more independent as they develop. Elementary children learn to take on increasing responsibility through loving guidance, e.g. through the independent use of our wood/computer/media and artists' workshop. Our daycare center has been a "Hessian movement kindergarten" since 2012. This is impressively reflected in the newly designed outdoor area. It invites all children to explore, experiment, run around, play hide and seek and retreat. Numerous exercise and learning opportunities have been installed, such as an atrium with a fireplace, a trampoline securely anchored in the ground, various swings, slides, balancing and climbing facilities, mud and sand pits, a water pump and various paths with different levels of difficulty for using the versatile driving and locomotion equipment. Children ask questions, search, discover, participate and want to be involved. We accompany them on their way.
