Reducing discrimination and preventing extremism

Prevention projects

In Wiesbaden, extremist developments are countered with various projects and services. These are prevention projects aimed at preventing people from becoming radicalized or joining extremist groups.

Strictly counteracting extremist activities is an essential element of integration work. Therefore, true to the motto "prevention is better than cure", Wiesbaden has a package of measures designed to put a stop to extremist developments at an early stage.

Municipal counseling center against Salafism

The Salafism Advice Center offers advice and support services. Parents, friends and affected relatives who fear that young people in their environment are beginning to radicalize and adopt extremist attitudes, as well as professionals and institutions such as schools or youth centers, can seek advice. Counseling is free of charge, completely confidential and can be conducted anonymously if desired.
