The Main-Taunus Golf Club has done it—they’re champions of the 2nd Bundesliga West! 

As a newly promoted team, winning the championship title isn’t necessarily the first thing on your mind, but as each match day unfolded in the 2026 2nd Bundesliga—a true thriller—the chance to make it happen grew bigger and more tangible. And when you have such a focused yet relaxed team on the course, even dreams you never thought possible can come true.

A fantastic team effort and the incredible support from the many members who traveled with the team to experience the DGL excitement live were the key ingredients in the winning formula. You could see just how much the club members were suffering along with the team on a golf course that mercilessly punishes even the smallest mistakes. But they were right there in the moment of victory… pure emotion that won’t let you go anytime soon! 

The next stop is on Sunday, August 9, 2026: the promotion match to the 1st Bundesliga. It will be held in Hamburg Falkenstein as a match play against Hannover, the champion of the Northern Group. And who knows—maybe the dream will continue from there.
