Evening athletics festival
With a wide-ranging program and an expected large turnout, TV Waldstraße and the Wiesbaden Athletics Club invite you to the state-open evening sports festival at the Helmut Schön Sportpark on Wednesday, 13 May.
For years, this event has been one of the most popular early-season track and field competitions in the region. This is partly because both up-and-coming talents and experienced athletes find ideal conditions here for fast times and long jumps.
The first race starts at 5 p.m. with the U14 75-meter sprints. After that, the action continues nonstop: from the U12 800-meter races to the classic 100-meter and 400-meter events, all the way to the demanding middle-distance races for the U18 and U20 age groups, there’s something for every skill level. Special attention will be given to the 800- and 1,500-meter competitions for youth and adult athletes, which promise added excitement with prize money for the winners.
In addition to the running events, there will also be high jump and shot put competitions. The detailed schedule can be found via the link below.
The evening track meet offers an ideal opportunity to test your form at the start of the season, attempt to meet qualifying standards, or simply enjoy the special atmosphere of a compact, well-organized evening of track and field. With numerous up-and-coming talents, ambitious club athletes, and experienced competitors, May 13 promises to be a lively and high-quality sporting evening in Wiesbaden. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend the event and cheer on the athletes from Wiesbaden and the surrounding region.
