4th Ikano Bank City Marathon Wiesbaden

On Saturday, June 28, numerous runners once again took part in the "4th IKANO Bank City Marathon Wiesbaden". A run for schoolchildren was already on the program the day before. This time, the finish line and event site was Schlossplatz in front of the town hall.

Numerous runners took to the starting line again at the 4th Ikano Bank City Marathon Wiesbaden.

Once again this year, the Hessian state capital was able to look forward to a top-class running weekend on June 27 and 28. Organizer Sporthilfe Wiesbaden e.V. entered the fourth edition with title sponsor Ikano Bank.

The big running weekend in Wiesbaden kicked off on June 27 with the school class run for children in classes from first to tenth grade. The children ran free of charge and received a finisher's medal and lunch.

2,100 children took part in the school class run on Friday, June 27, and over 4,500 athletes took part on Saturday, June 28, creating a major sporting event in the state capital. The starting signal for the Naspa school class run on Friday was given by Lord Mayor and patron Gert-Uwe Mende. The President of the Hessian State Parliament, Astrid Wallmann, was present at the opening ceremony on Saturday.

In addition to the marathon, the half-marathon, 10- and 5-kilometer races as well as the 3-kilometer children's race and the popular relay competitions were offered.
