Nordenstadt Local History Museum
Surrounded by lovingly collected historical exhibits from different eras, the museum of local history offers a cozy atmosphere for your wedding ceremony.
A hidden gem for your civil wedding ceremony is the "Gut Stubb" at the Local History Museum in Wiesbaden-Nordenstadt.
The museum will be opened exclusively for you on the day of your civil wedding. All rooms will be accessible to you, the witnesses, and your guests. In the wedding room, located on the first floor of the museum, up to 15 additional guests may attend the ceremony alongside the registrar and the couple.
There is also the option of holding the ceremony in the rustic pub of the local history museum. Located on the ground floor, this space offers a welcoming and quaint atmosphere. Upon request, you can also toast with filled beer glasses after saying “I do.”
Other rooms worth seeing include a kitchen (from 1900 to 1920), an authentically furnished cobbler’s workshop, a 1950s-style classroom, and a lovingly furnished “corner store” from 1910.
If needed, you can rent one of the rooms at the Nordenstadt Community Center in the House of Associations. Since the community center is directly adjacent to the courtyard of the local history museum, we offer you the opportunity to round out your “dream wedding” with a wedding reception right on site following the civil ceremony. The large hall under the roof of the community center is the ideal venue for this. This hall can accommodate up to 80 people. The hall can be rented separately through the Room Allocation Department at the Nordenstadt Local Administration.
If you are interested in a champagne reception, the Historische Werkstatt Nordenstadt looks forward to discussing your wishes with you.
If the weather is nice, the museum’s courtyard is available afterward for a cozy drink. Here, for example, you can toast the bride and groom with a glass of champagne. We offer a time slot of up to 60 minutes for this champagne reception. Bar tables and champagne glasses (up to 50) are provided.
So you can plan the most beautiful day of your life exactly as you wish and enjoy it in a very personal way.
By the way: The museum is open every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, from 3 to 5 p.m. Why not stop by and take a look?
