Since fall 2022, ÖKOPROFIT farms have been working with the Environmental Agency to promote biodiversity in an urban area. Various initiatives have since contributed to the revitalization of the Käsbach site. The measures implemented range from removing invasive plant species and pruning blackberry bushes to installing nesting boxes and creating new habitats, as well as planting trees and setting up insect hotels. The farms, together with Michel’s carpentry shop, had previously equipped the insect hotels in his workshop.

The following activities took place in 2026:

• March 12, 2026: Repairing the insect hotels and further preparing the area for the flowering meadow
• May 20, 2026: Creation of the ÖKOPROFIT flowering meadow and, starting at 4:30 p.m., a guided tour of the floodplain landscape newly created by beavers
