Start of the 16th ÖKOPROFIT round
On May 15, 2024, Mayor Christiane Hinninger opened the 16th ECOPROFIT round 2024/2025 in the town hall. She warmly welcomed eleven newcomers and 39 club companies, who immediately started the first workshops of the environmental and climate protection program.
Current ÖKOPROFIT round
The new ÖKOPROFIT round promises an even greater variety of sectors. In addition to the healthcare sector, which is represented three times, companies and organizations from the plastics processing, construction, media and insurance industries as well as interest groups for business and politics and municipal institutions are taking part. The network is supplemented by the following eleven new participants: Brömer & Sohn GmbH, Gartenbau-Versicherung VVaG, Hessischer Industrie- und Handelskammertag (HIHK) e. V., Industrie und Handelskammer Wiesbaden, KISICO Kirchner, Simon & Co. GmbH, netorium AG, Otto-Fricke-Krankenhaus Paulinenberg GmbH, St. Josefs-Hospital Rheingau GmbH, St. Josefs-Hospital Wiesbaden GmbH, Tier- und Pflanzenpark Fasanerie Wiesbaden and Wivertis GmbH.
Over a period of approximately one year, the newcomers will deal with key issues of corporate environmental and climate protection and identify potential savings. The spectrum ranges from energy saving, waste avoidance and resource efficiency to climate accounting, mobility management and sustainable procurement. Aspects such as biodiversity, environmental controlling and communication are also covered.
The ÖKOPROFIT Club, the network for sustainable management for advanced participants, is starting with a record number of participants. The majority of participants have been active in the ECOPROFIT Club for many years and are continuously expanding their environmental activities among like-minded people.
