On December 2, 2025, the ÖKOPROFIT Club 2026/2027 was officially launched at Wiesbaden City Hall. During the first workshop of the environmental and climate protection program, 35 club member businesses discussed the key focus areas of the upcoming program cycle and received initial information on the topic of heavy rain preparedness in Wiesbaden.
The club consists of a combination of various workshops, individual consultation sessions, and joint initiatives, and will conclude with the ÖKOPROFIT award in 2027. In addition to small and large businesses from industry, manufacturing, trade and services, finance and insurance, and utilities and waste management, the ÖKOPROFIT Club 2026/2027 also includes representatives from the events, lodging, food service, cultural and creative industries, skilled trades, and health and social services sectors. New additions from the last entry-level program include the construction company Brömer & Sohn GmbH, the horticultural insurance company VVaG, KISICO Kirchner, Simon & Co. GmbH, and Wivertis GmbH, the municipal IT service provider.
Workshop topics in the club range from the corporate energy transition to sustainability reporting and the circular economy, as well as social sustainability and communication. New to the ÖKOPROFIT Club 2026/2027 is an additional module for expanding carbon footprint assessments and creating a reduction pathway to cut greenhouse gas emissions.
The ÖKOPROFIT Club is the network for advanced sustainable business practices. The majority of participants have been active in the ÖKOPROFIT Club for many years and are continuously expanding their environmental activities among like-minded peers with an eye toward potential savings. The range of topics covers everything from energy conservation to VSME reporting and the circular economy, all the way to social sustainability. Additionally, aspects such as compliance checks and legal issues are also addressed.
