Current concept processes
On this page we inform you about current concept procedures of the state capital Wiesbaden.
On December 16, 2021, the city council decided to initiate initial concept procedures for municipal properties. Between 2022 and 2025, the first concept procedure in the state capital of Wiesbaden was successfully carried out for a communal housing project under the motto "Living by the park/Living for many" in the Bierstadt-Nord construction area. And this is how it will continue:
Launched on February 16, 2026:
- New living in Breckenheim
Planning objective: Construction of communal facilities and apartments for various target groups on a former school site in the old town center of Breckenheim.
Started on February 27, 2026:
- Klarenthal Estate
Planning objective: Renovation in line with monument preservation guidelines, maintenance, and long-term operation of the facility
Three further concept procedures are planned for the Bierstadt-Nord construction area under the following mottos:
- Neighborhood entrance
Planning objective: Development of a neighborhood center - Growing older together
Planning objective: Integration and community - Affordable home ownership
Planning objective: Home ownership for families and cohabiting couples with children
In addition, the state capital of Wiesbaden is currently planning the following further concept procedures:
- CvO Klarenthal (formerly Carl-von-Ossietzky-Schule)
Planning objective: Allocation of 50 percent of the space in the concept procedure against the backdrop of the rules of sustainable urban development.
