What is urban development funding?
Urban development funding is a joint funding instrument of the federal and state governments in the Federal Republic of Germany. With financial assistance from the federal government, state funds, and municipal funds, measures are promoted in designated program areas to strengthen city centers and town centers, create sustainable urban structures, and remedy social injustices. These funding programs are generally designed to run for a period of ten years. They focus on improving the living, housing, and working conditions of citizens and actively involving people in the design and optimization of their living spaces.
