Central administrative location
On the site of the former horticultural headquarters on Mainzer Strasse, a new justice and administration center was built by the state of Hesse together with the state capital of Wiesbaden.
Based on the design by architects KSP Engel und Zimmermann, this project was realized as part of a so-called PPP model(public-private partnership). The conceptually clear and architecturally appealing buildings have created a striking entrance to the city. The development surrounds the landscaped inner block area, which creates an attractive range of open and green spaces with a high-quality design. Around 1,200 employees of the state and the city have their new offices in the two building complexes.
Justice Center on Mainzer Strasse
The state of Hesse has set up its new justice center in the new building complex on Mainzer Straße. The offices of the justice administration, which were previously spread across the city, as well as the public prosecutor's office together with the district, regional, administrative, social and labor courts have their new headquarters there.
Central administrative location
The largest municipal user at the Konradinerallee 11 site is the Department of Social Affairs, Education and Housing. Other municipal organizational units are also housed there. The new administration building brings together some of the municipal departments that were previously scattered across the city. The concentration at this location will make the city administration even more citizen-friendly and customer-oriented.
Thanks to the connection via Mainzer Strasse, the new public facilities of the city administration and the state of Hesse can be easily reached at any time. A new multi-storey parking lot with 500 parking spaces has also been built in the immediate vicinity, providing employees and visitors with ample parking facilities.
