14th update of the Wiesbaden rent index
On June 17, 2025, the city council took note of the 14th update of the Wiesbaden rent index. The updated rent index thus comes into force.
The rent index for non-price-controlled apartments serves as a guideline for determining the local comparative rent. It offers the parties involved an orientation aid for agreeing the rent level on their own responsibility depending on the type, size, furnishings, condition and location of the apartment or building. The information in the 14th update reflects rents in the state capital of Wiesbaden as of January 1, 2025. These are the so-called cold and net rents per square meter of living space and month.
The working group on the rent index has approved the 14th update of the Wiesbaden rent index, as has the city council. The working group consists of the interest groups Mieterbund Wiesbaden und Umgebung, Haus & Grund Wiesbaden, the experts for rents and leases and the Wiesbaden city administration, represented by the Civil Engineering and Surveying Office - Municipal Valuation Office.
Tenant protection
The established lawyers specializing in tenancy law offer sound advice on tenancy law issues. The Wiesbaden Tenants' Association is also a competent partner. However, it only advises members.
