Press and media team of the Wiesbaden fire department
The Wiesbaden Fire Department's press and media team consists of five representatives. They support the emergency personnel on duty, depending on the location and size of the scene, and coordinate media communication during emergency situations and in the day-to-day business of the Wiesbaden Fire Department.
Within the team, one representative always takes on the role of "press spokesperson on duty". This person coordinates all media inquiries, is the central point of contact for press and media representatives and ensures that the Wiesbaden Fire Department can be reached by the media.

The Wiesbaden Fire Department provides updates exclusively on emergency operations. Please direct any non-emergency inquiries to the Press Office of the State Capital of Wiesbaden.

The incident commander or a press spokesperson from the Wiesbaden Fire Department will be available to provide information at the scene of the incident.
Media representatives are requested to register with the incident commander upon arrival at the scene. The emergency services on site will be happy to show you the way to the command vehicle on request.
The crew of the command vehicle will coordinate the contact and refer to the press spokesperson on site or directly to the incident commander. The incident site may be entered as soon as clearance has been given by the incident commander or the press officer. This includes, among other things, information on danger zones and inaccessible areas of operation in order to ensure the safety of all those involved and the success of the operation.
Prudent behavior in the operational area, keeping access routes clear and following operational instructions help to ensure that press work and operational events can take place smoothly side by side.
