Meeting of Styles - International Graffiti Festival

Every June, Wiesbaden becomes an international stage for graffiti and urban art. Most recently, 150 artists from Germany and around the world created large-scale murals at the Kastel bridgehead and the Wiesbaden slaughterhouse as part of the "Meeting of Styles."

The Meeting of Styles is one of the world’s most important festivals for graffiti and urban art. It has its roots in Wiesbaden: Starting in 1997, the Wall Street Meetings at the Schlachthof evolved into a global network that today encompasses events in more than forty countries. This year’s festival theme is “Togetherness.”

The festival begins at Brückenkopf Kastel, considered one of the largest open-air galleries in the Rhine-Main region between Cologne and Stuttgart. Every June, new murals are created there across an area of approximately 3,000 square meters.

Live painting and a diverse festival program are what make the “Meeting of Styles” special. DJs, rappers, and breakdancers perform, while vendor booths and food and drink options invite visitors to linger. The Meeting of Styles is one of the most important events in Germany’s graffiti scene. Film screenings and Art Walk & Talks round out the program.

The Meeting of Styles is sponsored by the Youth Services Department of the Office for Social Work.

30 years

A special milestone is coming up next year: In 2027, the Meeting of Styles will celebrate its 30th anniversary in Wiesbaden. The festival plans to use this anniversary to further highlight its history and international significance. The Meeting of Styles is looking forward to welcoming additional supporters to help make this anniversary year a success.
