Children's film festival "Klappe 7"

Once a year, children screen the films they have produced themselves on a large stage. The best films will be honored by a panel of experts and the audience on November 21 at the Caligari Film Theater.

Short films, documentaries, and animated films will be presented at the festive film premiere in November. All of the films are produced by children. The selection includes both individual works and group projects.

“Klappe 7” offers children a great platform to present their own productions to a large movie theater audience and a panel of experts. The jury awards first, second, and third prizes. There is also an audience award.

At the participating institutions, children have the opportunity to explore the world of film creatively. By making their own films, the boys and girls gain insight into how films are produced.

The children learn various methods for developing a screenplay, editing a film, and handling the camera. While filming, the children can simply experiment and try things out. The films thus become an expression of their own ideas.
