KiTa profile
What parents can expect from this daycare center:
The work in our facility is based on the basic tenets of the Christian view of humanity with the principle of respect and appreciation. We accept the children as they are: little individuals and personalities. The kindergarten is known for its family atmosphere and its manageable size. The children are supported holistically with a wide range of activities and prepared for school and life. The garden is used for outdoor play, but also for growing vegetables and flowers and the herb snail. The children are involved in the care and maintenance of the garden. Excursions to the kindergarten's immediate and wider surroundings are part of the weekly program, such as visits to the Sonnenberg volunteer fire department and Fire Station I, the beekeeper, the police in Bierstadt, excursions to the pheasantry and Mechtildshausen domain, the Rhine, the Neroberg and the Goldstein Valley. In addition to nature education, religious education is another focus of the kindergarten. Many festivals are celebrated with the children in the kindergarten and in the community, religious values are taught, stories from the Bible are told and the lives of the saints are acted out. Our team is made up of educational specialists with different weekly working hours and levels of training. We are supplemented each year by young people on a voluntary social year. Each of them uses their own skills and personal abilities so that we cover the important areas of elementary education such as music, movement, creativity and pre-school work.
