What parents can expect that’s special at this daycare center:

We operate according to the “open concept,” meaning that all rooms in the daycare center are available to all children throughout the day. Our teachers carry out their educational mission by challenging and supporting the children’s self-directed learning processes in all areas. This approach is based on the children’s life situations, observations, and current findings in early childhood education, as well as the State of Hesse’s Education and Upbringing Plan (HBEP). To implement the HBEP in our work, we focus on “four pillars” of our educational approach: free play, project work, guided small-group activities (workshops), and religious education. Specifically, this means that these four methods are applied in each educational area in as balanced a manner as possible. Free play and project work offer many opportunities to focus on the child’s independent activity. In the workshops, the educational staff have the opportunity to provide the children with new inspiration and to fulfill our educational mission. Close collaboration with parents is very important to us! We want our parents to be fully informed about our work and hope for their active participation. Therefore, if you have enrolled your child with us or would like to enroll them, we ask that you visit us at the center during registration hours (Mondays, 2:00–4:00 p.m.). We’d be happy to give you a tour of the center and explain our educational approach.
