We understand (successful) integration as the long-term task of establishing equal and non-discriminatory participation in the economic, social and cultural resources of society. This should also promote the constructive handling of diversity and difference by all those involved. This requires recognizing and addressing existing processes of inclusion and exclusion. The framework and standards for this understanding of integration are set by the free democratic basic order.
