Harald Welzer: Transformation in the Face of Headwinds
Harald Welzer will deliver the keynote address at the 18th Sustainability Dialogue, "Transformation in the Face of Headwinds—New Paths Toward a Socio-Ecological Future," on October 28 at the "Museum Reinhard Ernst."
The socio-ecological and climate-protective transformation faces stronger opponents than ever before, and confidence in the possibility of successful change is waning. How can one act realistically, effectively, and successfully in such a situation? The “million-dollar question” that the social psychologist and author will discuss with Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende, Mayor Christiane Hinninger, and the audience.
Professor Dr. Harald Welzer is a renowned sociologist, social psychologist, and journalist who is considered one of the leading figures in the study of social change. His academic work and his numerous bestsellers explore the interplay between the climate crisis, the culture of memory, and the need for social transformation.
Moderator: Petra Boberg
