Thomas Krüger from Hamburg, speaking from an urban planning perspective, opened the discussion with their opening remarks. The panel discussion—featuring the then-chair of the Design and Historic Preservation Advisory Board, Dr. Rena Wandel-Höfer, Joelle Sander from Fridays for Future, urban researcher Prof. Klaus Overmeyer, and City Councilor Kessler then focused on the major challenges—but also the opportunities—for the Wiesbaden of tomorrow, and on the question of how the existing city can build resilience to future crises.
