Stork Camera in Schierstein - Winter Break
The Schierstein storks are very popular—and now there are once again exciting glimpses into their nest life. The storks are currently at their wintering grounds, and the livestream is on hiatus until the next breeding season.
Note Regarding the Winter Break
Our storks have set off for their wintering grounds and left their nest. The livestream will therefore be on hiatus until the next breeding season.
We look forward to providing you with more exciting glimpses into the stork’s nest next spring, just in time for the start of the new season.

The stork camera in Wiesbaden-Schierstein shows what is happening in the stork's nest in real time. Visitors can access the live stream directly and watch the storks breeding, raising their young, and going about their daily activities.
The stork camera is part of a larger project. Information boards along the banks of the Rhine and Main rivers show what makes Wiesbaden's riverbank so special. Digital offerings such as the stork camera complement these boards, giving visitors exciting insights and allowing them to experience the content in different ways.
The project was initiated by the city planning office. It is supported and promoted by the commitment of numerous participants. These include, among others:
- Storchengemeinschaft Schierstein e.V.
- Müller & Sittig Datentechnik GBR
- Rhine-Main Regional Park
- Smart City Unit, Department VII
