Declaration on accessibility for www.wiesbaden.de

This is the declaration on accessibility for.

Book with a paragraph on it

The state capital Wiesbaden must make its Internet pages

barrier-free.

In doing so, it observes the rules of this European law:

EU 2016/2102.

This also applies to websites for cell phones.

With our Internet offers we observe these
laws and regulations:

  • Hessian Disability Equality Act.
  • Hessian ordinance on barrier-free

information technology.

This declaration is valid for the website www.wiesbaden.de

and for sub-pages belonging to this website.

This declaration is not valid for offers and services

from other providers.

Book with a paragraph on it

The rules on accessibility are in place:

  • In the Disability Equality Act in section 3, paragraphs 1 to 4.
  • In the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance in paragraph 4.

The basis for these rules is section 12 d of the

Disability Equality Act.

1. how the rules are observed at the moment

The state capital Wiesbaden is working on this:

So that all rules on accessibility are observed.

Most of the rules are observed.

But there are some exceptions.

You can read more about this under

Non-accessible content

2. non-barrier-free content

Some areas of the website are not yet fully accessible.

These errors and deficiencies still exist:

  • Some PDF documents are not yet barrier-free.

For example papers or protocols.

  • Sometimes there are videos on the website.

These videos are sometimes not barrier-free.

  • Sometimes the background image of the website changes.

Then the difference between light and dark is too indistinct.

And it is not easy to click on these areas:

    • Logo of the state capital.
    • Menu.
  • Some texts are not suitable for describing images.
  • Some links lead to content that is not barrier-free.
