What's new

From the relocation of Butta La Pasta to cookies at Café Hilda and acai bowls at Süß & Satt - here's what's new on the culinary front in Wiesbaden!

Butta La Pasta - now in the Obere Webergasse

Our favorite pasta shop has now moved to Obere Webergasse—how wonderful! At Butta la Pasta Rosa (opens in a new tab), there’s not only more space, but also a fresh new look featuring light, round wooden tables and a charming backyard. What hasn’t changed: the pasta, freshly prepared daily in a variety of dishes—from tagliatelle ragù to tartufo.

Why “Butta la Pasta Rosa”? “Butta la Pasta” roughly translates to “Throw the pasta into the water”—an expression heard daily in almost every Italian family. And Rosa—she’s the heart and soul of the restaurant.

At the new Süß & Satt (opens in a new tab), two sisters treat you to acai bowls, freshly made paninis, juices, and Greek frozen yogurt. What exactly is acai? Acai berries are small, dark purple fruits that grow on a palm tree native to the Amazon region of Brazil. The berries are pureed to create a creamy mixture, similar to a thick smoothie.
