Is the Kunsthaus accessible?

The Kunsthaus is accessible. A handicapped parking space is available. The exhibitions are located on the ground floor. An elevator is available to access the Artothek. Clearly visible and tactile stair markings are in place. Service dogs are permitted. For more information, please visit our website at

How much is the entrance fee?

Admission is free—including for events, guided tours, and workshops. There may be a fee for co-sponsored events.

How do I get to the Kunsthaus?

The Kunsthaus is located at Schulberg 10 in Wiesbaden—about a 10-minute walk from the market square. It can be reached from the train station via bus line 6—get off at the Michelsberg stop. From there, it’s a 5-minute walk along Schwalbacherstraße or Coulinstraße, up the stairs to Schulberg. By car, take Coulinstraße past the “Alte Synagoge” and up along “Schulberg.”

Where can I park?

There are a limited number of parking spaces available, or you can use the parking garage on Coulinstraße.

Is there a checkroom?

There are free lockers in the basement of the Kunsthaus. You can pick up the keys at the front desk.

Is there WLAN?

Under "Wiesbaden," we provide free Wi-Fi.

Are pets allowed?

Only service dogs, such as guide dogs, are permitted in the exhibition halls.

Is there a café in the Kunsthaus?

There is no café. However, you are welcome to enjoy the snacks and drinks you bring with you in the lobby or, during the summer months, in the cozy courtyard.

Where is the Artothek located?

The Art Library is located in the basement of the Kunsthaus. For more information about the Art Library, please visit

Can I also visit the studios?

The studios open their doors twice a year: in April for the "Short Night of Museums and Galleries" and in September for "National Heritage Day." You can find the dates on our website at 

Is the Kunsthaus climate-neutral?

The new Kunsthaus building was constructed in 2011 to be climate-neutral, and the old building was also renovated to improve energy efficiency in accordance with preservation guidelines.

The Kunsthaus is participating in the Ökoprofit 2026 program to operate in an even more environmentally friendly and sustainable manner.
